Summer Activities for Dogs

Summertime is finally here! Are you and your four-legged buddy ready for the dog days of Summer? Children are out of school for summer vacation and having fun; shouldn't you and your dog have some fun, too? Here are some fun tips for you and your dog to enjoy summer!

1. Go to the Dog Park:  There's no better time to go to the dog park than a nice summer day. In all likelihood, many other dog owners will have the same idea, so your dog will have plenty of company to play with. Be sure to bring plenty of water or make sure there is a water fountain, it can get hot out. You can take your dog to the park at night if he prefers tranquility and space, just make sure he uses a Dog-e-Glow LED lighted collar to stay visible in the dark!!

2. Go swimming: Does your dog like to swim?  Taking the to a lake or the beach is a great way for them to get some exercise while staying cool during those hot summer days. If you are lucky enough to have a pool, it is a great way for your and your pup to get some exercise while beating the heat.

3. Go to a ball game: The World Series might be called the "Fall Classic", but baseball is truly summer's sport. Many MLB and minor league teams have games where dogs can attend.  If you love baseball, it is a great way to enjoy a game and not have to leave your furry friend behind.  Bring your Dog-e-Glow LED Light Up Collar and Leash and you might just see you and your dog on the jumbotron!!

4. Take a walk at night:  If your dog gets fatigued easily during the day, you may want to take a walk at night to avoid the higher temperatures. Be sure to bring your Dog-E-Glow gear so other can easily see you.
